The Escondido City Council has decided to move the Public Works Yard from Spruce Street to the Caballo Trail head – north of Eureka Springs, and south of the Humane Society.
Their plan includes:
Closing the Caballo Trail Head
Evicting the Charros
Erecting 24 foot high Metal Industrial Buildings
Grading Outdoor Industrial Storage Yards
Miles of Razor Wire!
Escondido will lose over 35 acres of open space and one of the only 3 access points to Daley Ranch.
The City Council has already made this decision! That’s right – They didn’t ask you, but they did it.
Our only recourse is to challenge their Public Works Yard as inconsistent with the communities long standing plans for the area. This has already started – But we need your help.
